The second edition of Art D’Egypte‘s Forever is Now opened yesterday at the Pyramids of Giza with 11 artworks from 12 international artists. Inspired by the theme ‘Timelessness and the Mysteries of an Ancient Civilization’, the multi-disciplinary artworks brought a lens to the incredible influence ancient Egypt has had – and continues to have – in our modern world, Each artist used natural materials for a large-scale, site-specific piece of art created to complement the ancient landscape and backdrop where their work will reside for a month.

The globally renowned artists participating in this edition of the increasingly impressive art exhibition include Emirati artist Zeinab El Hashemi, Tunisian artist eLseed, Saudi artist Mohamad El Faraj, American-English sculptor Natalie Clark, Cameroonian artist Pascale Marthine Tayou, French artist JR, Syrian-born Swedish-raised artist Jwan Yosef, Spanish artist SpY, Italian artist Emilio Ferro, and Egyptian artists Ahmed Karaly and Therese Antoine Louis. Another unique addition to this exhibition is Liter of Light – a global movement committed to providing communities with sustainable solar light.

Forever is Now Edition II can be viewed at the Pyramids of Giza outside of Cairo until November 30th. No better time to plan a trip to the cradle of civilization.
